Area Law Enforcement
Approximately 50 automobiles have been marked with what seems to be blood from a person in the Germany's city of Hanau close to Frankfurt, according to authorities.
Cars, walls and postboxes were vandalized, in some cases with swastikas, they reported in a statement.
Law enforcement say they were notified late on Wednesday evening, when a individual noticed that a vehicle in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been covered with a reddish-hued liquid.
The liquid had been placed in the pattern of a swastika, they added.
Law enforcement then located numerous other vandalized cars and residential walls in the surrounding area.
Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under legislation prohibiting the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.
Officials report early analysis show the fluid was most likely human bodily fluid.
"There is still no indication as to its source; officials are presently not informed of any physical harm in connection with the event," they added.
Municipal representatives said they were attempting "to unravel the incident" and have asked to the public for tips.
An important representative said the incident made him without words and needed to be solved rapidly.
"This act hits the core of Hanau and revives the pain of the extremist terrorist attack in 2020," he wrote on a platform, referring to the death of nine victims by a assailant aiming at individuals of immigrant origin in 2020.
